Xpeng currently offers four vehicles: its flagship P7 sedan, the P5 sedan, the G3 SUV, and a G9 SUV that will be delivered in October.
Xpeng plans to launch two vehicles in 2023 — a purported B-class vehicle and the other a C-class vehicle.
Xpeng President Brian Gu said the B-class will launch in the first half of next year and can compete with Tesla's Model Y mid-size SUV.
Xpeng is aggressive in launching cars because it looks to gain share in China's fast-growing EV market, challenging Tesla and Warren Buffett.
Gu said the B-class vehicle will launch at the beginning of 2023 and is "going to target a significantly bigger market segment" than the P7 sedan.
He said the car can be thought of as a "strong competitor" of Tesla's Model Y moderate-sized SUV. The C-class item will be delivered by the end of 2023, Gu added.
Gu also commented that the new models will not be sedans. However, he didn't clarify the type of vehicle they would be.
Currently Tesla's Model Y is consistently one of the top-selling electric vehicles in China.
